What inspired you to start your business? How did your business get started?
I began having foot pain in my 20’s but I didn’t want to sacrifice style for comfort. While on a business trip I wandered into a shoe store unlike any I had ever seen before. They carried comfortable shoes that were beautiful and beautifully displayed. I bought a pair so perfect that they changed my life, and it made me want to share that experience with women in Northampton.
Tell us a little bit about your business.
Strada is a shoe store for men and women that offers a well edited collection of quality shoes. We work hard to help customers discover which styles and brands best compliment their specific foot. We are problem solvers first, and shoe sellers second.
What is your favorite thing to do in your business?
Solving a customer’s problem AND fulfilling their wish list. When I get to work one on one with a customer and I find them a shoe that fits their foot and fits their need it is the most amazing feeling of satisfaction for both of us. The customer’s that leave happy or report back about their purchase are my favorite part of the job.
If nothing else, what is the one piece of information you want someone to know about your business?
We like shoes, but what we really love is making people happy.
