As one of the co‑owners of HB Real Estate, Jeffrey Hoess‑Brooks has recently transitioned from a long career in the hospitality and hotel industry to focus fully on the brokerage. Since co-founding HB Real Estate, 5 years ago, he has helped shape its reputation as a boutique firm built on personal attention, seasoned REALTORS®, and a commitment to making every home purchase or sale the meaningful milestone it should be. With another expansion underway, he reflects on the company’s rapid growth and the values that continue to drive it.

What made you decide to start your business?
We wanted a boutique brokerage that would be an intimate part of the community, leaving corporate agencies and creating an environment where agents are placed first.
What is one of your great success stories, or a recent project you're proud of?
Being able to open our 3rd office in 6 years and build a brokerage with over 35 agents. We have grown organically with many agents coming to us to join a company because of our family culture and our involvement in the communities. Recently, HB Real Estate was selected as the Shining Star – Business of the Year from the Chicopee Chamber of Commerce.
What else should we know about you or your business? Are there any fun facts about your business, or something that would surprise people about what you do?
Mostly how we have grown in 6 years with over 35 agents within our brokerage and our involvement and hosting of events in the community…for the community. This past December we created a local author holiday stroll, that quickly grew from our original vision and we had over 25 authors showcase themselves and bring awareness to the community of the amazing writers in the Western Mass area. It was a meet & greet with the local authors and a benefit to support the Edward Bellamy Memorial Association.
