Happy 15th, Northampton Gift Card!
2021 marked the 15th anniversary of the Northampton Gift Card Program, and we’ve been celebrating all year long. You may have heard of the summer’s Keiter Card promotion — kicked off by a $10,000 donation from Keiter Corporation to the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce (GNCC), the “double your money” promotion gave the community and local economy a jump start on the journey toward recovery from the pandemic, while encouraging and rewarding the consumers and merchants that participate in the Gift Card Program.
But the fall and winter seasons brought their own Gift Card news: in the last few months of the year, the ranks of our Northampton Gift Card redeeming merchants swelled by 64%! With over 80 local businesses — including restaurants, retailers, salons, spas, and service providers — now part of the program, the Northampton Gift Card is the perfect way to keep our local economy humming. For many, it has become the perfect gift, to give or receive!
We're so proud of what the Northampton Gift Card Program has done in its 15 years. With an average sales figure of $360,000 per year, the little red card has helped inject nearly $5 Million into the local economy. We can't wait to see what it does in 2022!
